Writing my life story

As part of the homestudy process Erik and I have both been asked to write our life stories. I'm almost finished and have found that my memories of early childhood are surprising and funny. I remember nothing about the birth of my brother when I was 2 and almost nothing about the house where I lived until I was 5, but I clearly remember the worms that crawled up out of the ground after a heavy rain around the preschool I attended. I was sad for those worms and felt that it was an important responsibility to rescue them from the pavement and return them to the grass.

Perhaps this is my personal (somewhat more down-to-earth) version of The Star Thrower?

  1. Hi, Sara! You know how people make a heart shape with their hands? When my three-year-old, Elena, saw the picture of Martin on the left, she said that's what he was trying to do with his hands. :-)

    "down-to-earth" -- haha!

  2. I never noticed that! She is right. So sweet and how wonderful that it took a little girl to notice what we adults all overlooked!
