Bargain Angel Food

Some of my early elementary aged kids really like Fr. Gerald Brennan's short stories and I have had my eye on this set of books from Neumann Press for some time, but haven't ever been able to justify the cost. So I was tickled to find that many of the same stories are available for Kindle for $0.99 a volume and as free recordings from Librivox.

The lovely Jen of Wildflowers and Marbles has also made up spreadsheets correlating the stories with sections of the Baltimore Catechism. Wonderful!

On a related note, this gadget is one of my favorites. I download audio files from Librivox and Storynory on to a memory stick and then play it through our van's stereo. Peace has been maintained and we have listened to lots of good stuff on many a potentially boring drive.
