Boy 1, age 10, loves Legos and spends many hours each week creating detailed worlds with them.
Grandma and Grandpa, ages not relevant, have a lovely house with a fascinating utility room full of things like handsaws and utility knives.
Boy 3, age 3, is smack in the middle of what we (mostly) affectionately refer to as the Named Storm phase and loves to smash Lego creations and 'fix' Grandma and Grandpa's house and furniture with the aforementioned fascinating tools.
Enter the Door Monkey . . . problem solved.
This is one good gadget and we've been through a lot of childproofing gadgets! The door can be easily opened, from either side, by anyone tall enough, but does not give way even with a determined 40-pounder applying pressure. It can also travel to Grandma and Grandpa's house, install in (literally) a second and leave no marks on the door or frame. Now, it wouldn't take long for a kiddo who could move a chair and reach The Monkey to disarm it, but if it were positioned near the top of the door frame, it would take a tall toddler to manage that.
Note: This thing won't work if you have unusually thick or thin doors or some kinds of mouldings. The reviews and pictures on Amazon.com have the details.
And, yes, this is a totally unsolicited, uncompensated review. :)

Wow!! I need this!!
